Hi, I'm Nicole. I enjoy writing stories and creating graphics, especially social or political reporting.
I'm a junior at Northwestern double-majoring in journalism and international studies. Over the summer I wrote for the South China Morning Post's Asia desk as part of small team in Singapore. Last semester I was based in Strasbourg, France, where I interned at the Council of Europe's communications directorate.
I've contributed to five desks at The Straits Times, Singapore's newspaper of record -- including Foreign, Video, and Art. Before college, I was part of The New York Times' Gap Year program, and received the Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Overseas Journalism Scholarship.
Outside of journalism I do research and design costumes for student theatre.
