Hi! I'm Nicole. I enjoy writing human-centered stories and designing graphics. I'm a Digital Journalism and International Relations undergraduate at Syracuse University. Singapore is home but I'm currently studying abroad in Strasbourg, FR; where I also intern at the Council of Europe's Directorate of Communications. This summer I'm interning with The South China Morning Post's Singapore bureau.
I've contributed to five desks at The Straits Times, Singapore -- including Foreign, Video, and Art. I was also a 2023 School of The New York Times Gap Year Program student.
In 2023 I received the Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Overseas Journalism Scholarship, a full-ride undergraduate award. Outside of reporting, I am a research assistant on two projects at the S.I. Newhouse School Of Public Communications; namely "The West as Cultural Studies’ Constitutive Center," and "The Role of Communication in Collaborative Women’s Health Projects."
