I wrote this story and built its webpage in the fall of 2024 for a data journalism class. My task was to produce an original data-based piece on any subject. I looked into international students in the US -- a demographic with close proximity to foreign policy decisions and social trends. The release of the 2023-24 dataset towards the end of the semester completely changed the story's focus, but making sense of the latest numbers was an interesting and rewarding process.
